Introduction
Located on the Sydney water front, the Sydney Opera House has represented
the look of
the city since construction began in 1957 and when it opended in 1973. The
opera house sits on Bennelong Point reaching out into the harbour. The house
was designed by Danish arcthitect Jorn Utzon with funding comming from
New South Whales Government. Utzon won a competition arranged by the New
South Whales Government in 1950 when he entered his design.
