These are some words and terms that we found to be difficult or challenging in our research:

Buttress a projecting support of stone or brick built against a wall
Crocket a small carved ornament, typically a bud or a curled leaf, on the inclined side of pinnacle or gabe
Capitals the broader section at the head of a pillar or column
Trefoiled an ornamental design of three rounded lobes like a clover leaf, used typically in architectural tracery
Sepulchres a small room or monument, cut in rock or built of stone, in which a dead person is laid or buried
Tympanum a vertical recessed triangular space forming the center of a pediment, typically decorated
Tribune a raised area or gallery with seats, especially in a church
Rayonnant (in Gothic art and architecture) an architectural style that evolved in the Paris region during the reign of Louis IX (1226-1270)
Liturgical of or related to liturgy or public worship
Arcades a series of arches supporting a wall, or set along it
Mensa the flat stone forming the top of an altar iin a Roman Catholic church
