ON EAGLE WINGS

On Eaogles Wings

you who dwell...(On eagles wings)

who abide in His shadow for life,
say to the Lord: 'My refuge,
my God in whom I trust!'

And He will raise you up on eagles' wings,
bear you on the breath of dawn,
make you to shine like the sun,
and hold you in the palm of His hand.

The snare of the fowler
will never capture you,
and famine will bring you no fear:
under His wings your refuge,
His faithfulness your shield.

And He will raise you up on eagles' wings,
bear you on the breath of dawn,
make you to shine like the sun,
and hold you in the palm of His hand.

You need not fear the terror of the night,
nor the arrow that flies by day;
though thousands fall about you,
near you it shall not come.

And He will raise you up on eagles' wings,
bear you on the breath of dawn,
make you to shine like the sun,
and hold you in the palm of His hand.

For to His angels He's given a command
to guard you in all of your ways'
upon their hands they will bear you up,
lest you dash your foot against a stone.

And He will raise you up on eagles' wings,
bear you on the breath of dawn,
make you to shine like the sun,
and hold you in the palm of His hand.

  My response:
I like the poem very much. I like eagles and the poem is refering to eagles and it is also talking about my faith. It has a good message about faith and trust.
Stanza one is talking about that how a person putting their trust in their saviour will keep them safe from all harm.
Stanza two reminds us that when you are weak the Lord will lift you up and he will give you new strength to go on with your day. With Jesus in your heart you will shine in a new life. The lord will hold you in the palm of his hands and that he is your shield and he will watch over you and keep you safe.
Stanza three tells us when you are weak the Lord will raise your strength and make you strong.
Stanza four explains that if you are in fear of something the Lord will help you overcome it.
Stanza five states that the lord is all ways with you and will help you in your daily life. He will give strength in time of fear and very low points in your life.
Stanza six speaks of how the Lord will send angels to watch over you and protected you always.
The poem ends by reassuring us that if you trust in the Lord he will provide.
