Badly
Treated |

I’ve been through many things,
gotten many stings.
I guess you can say
I tried to play with fire,
and, obviously, got burned.
I have been through so much,
there are many things I've also learned.
My heart has gotten broken... way too many times,
he told me too many stories
and said too many lies.
He made me feel like s--t and I hated it,
but I stayed... never knew why
so, I got hurt and betrayed.
I told him that I loved him,
but what good did that do?
My heart still got broken in two.
It lays here, now, in millions of pieces,
like a problem needing to be solved,
like the world wanting to revolve.
With him- there was no fun and laughter;
I felt like a slave because he acted like a master.
And now we're over and done with,
couldn't wait any longer,
He treated me so bad
and used all he thought I had.

Response
This poem is about a girl who is in a bad relationship, she loves him so much that she doen't want to leave him. It finally gets to the point where she cant't seem to take his poor behaviour towards her.
