Reflections on my
three best selections of the year

For this picture, I decided to start it off with a cut out picture of a hubcap off a car from some car magazine of my friends.

I call this my ghost car because it is placed on a road at a stop sign without anyone driving it that you can 'see.'

This took me about four-to-five hours to complete - not all at once mind you. I used different coloured pencils and pictures of actual cars, grass and buildings so I could imitate them in my drawing and have it look as realistic as I could.

I've always had a thing for cars. And I must say, I sure wouldn't mind having this one in my possession!

This picture is called: The Storm. For it, I wrote a poem as a reflection:

Clouds of mist, gloom and muddleness
hovering over us, inducing a daze,
dark clouds fill the once summer sky
as I peer up into the darkness and cold,
a flash of lightening flashes in the distance
followed by a rumble of thunder.
One flash brings many pictures to mind
suddenly...the clouds break,
a single beam of sunlight shines on my face,
a feeling of warmth and happiness comes over me.
Then the clouds combine
again as one large empty mass
I look up to the hole, the gap that was once there
as a single tear trickles down my cheek
my heart rains
for it craves to see the sun
concealed by the clouds
without even a glow among the mist.

The School Bus is one of my works that took a longer time. I revisited this drawing everyday for two weeks untill I got it just the way I needed it to be to pass in to be marked.

I got the idea for this drawing when I decided I wanted  a school related drawing in my collection of pictures. I figured this would be a good time for that. So instead of drawing the school itself as a building, I chose a more unique road and drew "the school bus".

This picture is better known as the 'Bunt Mobile'. I was going to name it something ironic like 'The Canadien Rifel Association'  but I didn't have room. So, a couple of my classmates ended up naming it "bunt" when I figured out I only had four letter spaces for its title - its kind of an inside joke thing.

Anyway, all the prespectives in this turned out pretty good and I learned a lot about 1,2, and 3 point prespectives while doing it. So everything turned out great and hopefully this picture will be put in the Horton yearbook this year.
