Targets in summary:
You
will create:
- a
series of notes, brainstorms, A DESIGN
BRIEF,
and sketches, which show evidence of a good design process.
- Sketches
and a daily journal. You should demonstrate that
you have explored 5 different ideas and developed one in depth. Your
personal journal should be a good reflection of what you did (thought,
questioned, resolved, and continue to question) during any session
of designing. EACH TEAM submits a collection of sketches (idea development)
and each INDIVIDUAL submits a journal.
- A
design product which demonstrates strong consideration
for the aesthetics, content, form and function of your design,
being relevant to and valued by its intended audience. It should
persuade a target audience of an idea or to act in a certian
way.
- your design
needs to have an engaging, non-distracting, interface. MOST
IMPORTANT: have content!!! Your job is to create something that will make change in
our community and world. Use comedy or drama to these ends.
- For critiques,
on the class before your project is due, present your teacher with
a questionnaire.
- The questions
need to solicit critical feedback from your peers on the success
of your project.
- Create
questions that probe on the effectiveness of your aesthetic
decisions (colours, compositions, textures, materials, mood, etc), the clarity
of your content and message, and the overall effectiveness
at persuading an audience to adopt a particular message.
- Make
the questions pointed, not soliciting yes/no responses.
- This
should be typed with spaces for answers, your name and specific project
title on top, e.g. Pipsi
Ad Questionnaire
Your project will be assessed
according to this rubric.
